2010 GROUP
Known
as the Live Music Capital of the World, Austin has long been a
place for musicians to develop and showcase their talent. With the
support of the Austin Parks and Recreation Department, Soul Tree
Collective was formed in conjunction with the Urban Music Festival to
encourage youth in Central Texas to develop live music performance
skills through collaboration, organization and teamwork. Each year a
new R&B/Soul group of aspiring young musicians forms a band
that
debuts on the main stage of the Festival.
SECOND NATURE was formed through the Soul Tree Collective Project, the brain child of Austin native Homer Hill. The young, talented and funky artists come from all walks of life throughout the city of Austin. Although different from each other, the bonding factor between all the members is their deep love for music. These young people ranging in age from 18 to 22 years old and have a natural talent and strong desire to become successful in the music industry and help others along the way. Listen and fall in love with 2nd Nature. The members include Jacilius Smith (bass guitarist), Karriem Bey Williams, Ernest Luna (percussionists), David Thomas Winsman (guitarist) and Timothy Moten, Stacy Seals and Traci Henderson (vocals).
Young aspiring artists between the ages of 16 to 21 are always welcome
to audition. Call Mr.
Hill at 512.289.4494.
