a less than ideal city to live in for African Americans.
While
certainly not like an Atlanta, Dallas or a Houston, it is our
contention that Austin has plenty of positive lifestyle options for
everyone— black folk included! The City of Austin and our sponsors are
demonstrating their commitment to reversing the perception and
highlighting Austin as a city open and very welcoming to the African
American experience.
We
ask that you not only plan to visit us during Urban Music Festival– but
that you consider relocating to Austin and raising your family!
